Eduardo Bohórquez - Principal

Mr. Bohórquez was previously CEO of WestSphere Capital LLC, private equity firm focusing on investment in U.S. and Latin American middle market companies.

In this position Mr. Bohórquez sourced, closed and monitored investments for WestSphere’s various funds. WestSphere completed a $50 million U.S. investment program. He sat on the board of directors of many of the U.S. funds’ portfolio companies, including Southern California Food Services Inc., Automated Detection Systems Inc, and Eki Discount in Argentina.

Prior to WestSphere, Mr. Bohórquez was a Managing Director of Chase Investment Bank and a Vice President and head of the Corporate Finance Group of Chase Manhattan Capital Markets of Puerto Rico. He created an international product development group at Chase for multinational clients and worked with the bank's mergers and acquisitions area on transactions in both the U.S. and Latin America.

Mr. Bohórquez holds a B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin, an M.S. from the University of Minnesota and a Ph.D. in Finance and International Business from the University of Wisconsin.

Justo Frías
- Principal

Mr. Frías was until recently President and CEO of Gigante USA, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Mexican retailer Grupo Gigante S.A. de C.V. He initiated and led the expansion of Gigante retail grocery operations in the Los Angeles area. Until 1998, Mr. Frías was Vice President of Grupo Gigante S.A. de C.V. where he was responsible for managing all aspects of Gigante’s 220 retail store operations, including corporate functions such as real estate and human resources.

Prior to Gigante, Mr. Frías started his own retail chain in Washington and Oregon, which he subsequently sold. He began his career at Safeway, where he rose to the level of Country President of Saudi Arabia and Jordan. His responsibilities included initiating operations in those countries and developing relationships with local owners and suppliers.

He attended the University of Maryland, where he concentrated in Aerospace Engineering. Mr Frias will be based in Nexos’ Los Angeles office.

John McIntire y Salazar - Principal

Mr. McIntire retired in 2004 as a Partner of Goldman, Sachs & Co, where he headed all of the Latin American businesses of that firm. He has more than 25 years experience as a capital markets specialist and investment banker, the last 12 years of which were focused on Latin America. Under his leadership, Goldman Sachs’ Latin American businesses achieved record profitability and industry leading positions in the advisory and financing areas. Before managing the Latin region at Goldman Sachs, Mr. McIntire was co-head of the Global Emerging Markets Group and a senior capital markets advisor to private and public sector clients.

Prior to Goldman Sachs, Mr. McIntire was a Director in the U.S. equity capital markets area at CS First Boston, where he managed IPOs, secondary offerings and related transactions for U.S. and international companies. He began his career as a corporate finance specialist at The Chase Manhattan Bank, where he worked with Nexos Principals Bohórquez and Vadapalas.

Mr. McIntire is a member of the U.S.-Mexico Binational Council, the New America Alliance and is a Global Advisory Board member of Endeavor, the leading non-profit organization promoting entrepreneurship in Latin America.

A native of Cuba, he is a graduate of Princeton University with a BA in economics.

Joseph J. Vadapalas - Principal

Mr. Vadapalas was previously Chief Investment Officer of WestSphere Capital LLC, a middle- market private equity firm focusing on investment in U.S. and Latin American middle market companies. He was responsible for structuring, analyzing, financing, closing and monitoring financial performance of the Fund’s investments. Mr. Vadapalas also developed WestSphere’s investment management team that successfully carried out WestSphere’s U.S. middle market consolidation strategy. Mr. Vadapalas sat on the board of directors of all WestSphere’s U.S. portfolio companies, including Medical Laboratory Network, Southern California Food Services Corp and Automated Detection Systems Inc.

Mr. Vadapalas previously worked at The Chase Manhattan Bank on a variety of Caribbean and Latin American transactions, from acquisitions and project financing to restructurings. He was a Director in Chase Manhattan Capital Markets and a Vice President of The Chase Manhattan, N.A.

Prior to Chase, Mr. Vadapalas was with Atlantic Richfield Company's Research and Development Group where he performed economic and technical evaluations of new and existing petrochemical technologies at the company’s Texas and California facilities. He also participated in the start-ups of major operating facilities.

Mr. Vadapalas holds a B.S. in chemical engineering and a B.A. in chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds a Masters in Public and Private Management from Yale University.
